For well over a year, John and Linda have been actively working to benefit our local seniors. With the cutback in funding from the City of Morgan Hill, programs, services and hours of operation are likeley to be cut beginning July 1, 2011.
John has been looking for a way to establish a nonprofit group to raise funds to maintain those programs, services and hours. The solution was to establish a named fund (Friends of the Morgan Hill Senior Center) with the Morgan Hill Community Foundation (a local 501c3 public charity). This was done on March 10, 2011 at which time John also joined the Board of Directors of the Morgan Hill Community Foundation.
Friends of the Morgan Hill Senior Center already has a website, a blog and a Facebook page. You can reach the blog and Facebook page through the website, which you can access by clicking here.
