Here's the two old buzzards after taking a short flight, hovering for a while and landing in a lovely garden in San Martin, CA for the debunking of a Rotary Club president: goodbye Carl, hello Del! Even Cher showed up...
We're Linda (Buzzard #1) and John (Buzzard #2) Tarvin, a married couple since May 29, 1965 who entered retirement in the year 2009.
Linda is a gardener, loves letterboxing, likes to ride her purple bicycle and has at least one blog of her very own. She also likes music, photography and taking care of our grandchildren, Isaac, and his younger twin siblings, Amber Lynn and Owen Vander.
John is a geek. Likes computers, programming, teaching, photography, video, music, bicycling and swimming.
Our traveling companion is Fannie Mae. She succeeds Maggie Mae whom we lost in July of 2010. Fannie was whelped (born) on June 26, 2010. She is also a Miniature Schnauzer, but is black and silver rather than salt and pepper. She's exhibiting a love of car travel, lots of energy and a marvelous temperment.
You can sometimes find us on Skype (we use it to chat with our daughter and when we are on a road trip). Look for either of the following Skype IDs: johntarvin or lindatarvinas we both have Skype accounts.
Maggie Mae February 14, 1998 - July 28, 2010 Maggie Mae was with us for about nine years. She was General Manager and Greeter at our print shop and was our traveling companion on five road trips after we retired. Perhaps the sweetest dog we've known. She'll always have a place in our hearts.
Worthwhile Links
Welcome to our new retirement blog. In transitioning from retirement website to a hybrid blog and website, the buzzards are learning a lot!
Our most recent road trip to Washington state (May 30, 2009 through June 9, 2009) is chronicled in a daily traveloge with each day having its very own link to photos for that day. The traveloge for the Washington state trip can be accessed by clicking here. Just use the back arrow on your browser to return to this page.
We also have a Old Buzzard's Photo Gallery which contains several selections of Flash photo albums which you can peruse. There are some nice photos there. You can access the Old Buzzard's Photo Gallery by clicking here. Again, use the back arrow on your browser to return to this blog.
